LED Turn Signal Kit Installation for the BMW G310R morsunled.bloggersdelight.dk
Installing an LED turn signal kit on the G310R is a manageable DIY project for most riders. The process typically begins by removing the stock indicators, which are secured by a single bolt and connected via a simple electrical plug. The new LED units are then mounted in the same locations using the provided hardware. However, there is a critical electrical consideration. LED turn signals draw significantly less power than the original incandescent bulbs. This reduced power draw confuses the motorcycle’s factory flasher relay, causing the signals to hyper-flash, or blink at an abnormally rapid rate. To resolve this, riders have two options. The first is to install an LED-compatible flasher relay, which is a direct plug-and-play replacement for the stock unit. The second is to wire in load resistors, which simulate the power draw of a traditional bulb and maintain the correct flash rate.
