BMW S1000RR Headlight Aiming and Adjustment morsunled.weebly.com
The Adjustment ProcedureWith the bike positioned, turn on the low beam. You should see a distinct cutoff line where the light ends and darkness begins. For most motorcycles, the correct vertical aim places the cutoff line slightly below the marked headlight height on the wall—typically about 2 to 4 inches lower at that distance. This ensures the beam illuminates the road ahead without blinding oncoming drivers. Locate the vertical adjustment screw on the headlight housing and turn it in small increments, checking the cutoff line after each turn. Once the vertical aim is set, check the horizontal aim by observing whether the beam is centered or skewed to one side. The hot spot of the beam should sit roughly straight ahead. Use the horizontal adjustment screw to correct any offset.
