Complete Exterior Lighting Refresh for the 2005 GMC Sierra atoallinks.com
When working with any exterior lights, inspect the wiring sockets and connectors for corrosion. Green crusty deposits indicate moisture intrusion and electrical resistance that dims lights and causes intermittent failure. Clean corroded sockets with electrical contact cleaner and a small wire brush, then apply dielectric grease to prevent future corrosion. If sockets are severely corroded, replacement pigtails are available and can be spliced in. For all new bulbs, a tiny dab of dielectric grease on the metal base prevents corrosion and makes future removal easier.
